Berlin – This is Gilera Fuoco, the latest new proposal of the Italian motorcycle manufacturer. Infomtori co.uk this time went to Berlin to test the first “SUV scooter”, as it was defined by Gilera manager director Daniele Bandiera. Fuoco is an Italian word which means “Fire”: as a matter of fact, Gilera Fuoco is expected to give hot burning performances, thanks to a 500 cc single-cylinder power unit, electronic fuel injection, 4 valves, Euro 3, which develops a maximum output of more than 40 hp. We still have no technical informations about its features, but as Gilera Fuoco is strictly connected with Piaggio MP3, we can try to make some ipothesis about its general structure. The beatiful German city hosts the test ride of Gilera Fuoco: safety, versatility and sportiness are its main characteristics, very appreciated by both young and expert riders. Fuoco is a big city scooter, but it is good also for long journey. Anyway, what is certian is that this motorbike is extremely efficient and useful. Design Gilera Fuoco looks much more aggresive if compared to the first model of the range set. As its little brother Piaggio MP3, even Gilera Fuoco's front have the characteristic cut off shape, that even if is not so elegant, it is anyway necessary to receive the two front wheels. Furthermore, Giler Fuoco will be available into three different colours: Emotion Red, Excalibur Grey and Demon Black. Gilera Fuoco is 216 cm long and 77,5 wide. On the road Our first impression is positive of course, except for cold weather. Gilera Fuoco shows to be easy to ride and is characterized by high manoevrability. The two front independent wheels can definately make the difference: they allow us to ride in all safety. The outrigger is very comfortable,and the braking system is precise. The seadle is comfortable and we appreciated also the instrument panel.
