Jaguar XKR GT3 …A jaguar on race track!! Richard Lloyd’s Apex Motorsport reveals the first pictures of Jaguar XKR GT3. To develop XKR, Lloyd cooperates with an experienced squad leaded by Team Manager Dave Ward, together with Howden Hayes, who also comes from Apex team, responsible of design and development. Therefore Jaguar XKR’s Team is working hard inside Buckingham race shop, with the build of the first XKR chassis nearing roll cage completion. Dave Ward said: ““The basic all aluminium chassis is already immensely rigid so we’re confident that with the addition of the roll cage it will be amongst the best in class.” In the standard version,Jaguar XKR offers such an output of 420 hp, thanks to its supercarged V8 engine: thanks to some technical changements on Apex Motorsport, the already great performances of this English sports car are expecetd to be improved furthermore… while waiting for the misterious “RR” version… Championship The development car is expected to complete its shakedown test in December before moving on to the official FIA tests early next year. In only its first year the FIA GT3 European Championship has attracted enormous interest from teams and drivers alike and is set for even more success in 2007 with six Championship races planned in addition to a non championship opening event supporting the Australian Grand Prix in March.
